About Dr Keshinie
The hustle and bustle of everyday life makes it hard to incorporate healthy behaviours into our routines despite our best intentions. As a GP with additional qualifications in Lifestyle Medicine, Mental Health, Weight Management and the management of Chronic Insomnia, my passion is helping people achieve their goals despite the many challenges they may face in their day to day lives.
Introducing Dr Keshinie
Dr Keshinie Selvarajah graduated from Monash University in 2013 and achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018. Through working in General Practice, she saw the struggles of patients with both physical and mental health, and the relationship they have with each other. This spurred her to take additional training firstly in Mental Health, and then in Weight Management to build up skills to help her patients optimise their wellbeing. Subsequently she found the relatively newer specialty of Lifestyle Medicine that encompasses all the key components to help patients manage their current medical conditions and prevent future health concerns. Keshinie understands the various constraints that her patients are under and uses her extensive training to work with patients to develop individualised plans best suited to not only their health needs, but also their life circumstances.
Outside of work, Keshinie has her hands full with two young kids. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching a range of sports and doing embroidery and crochet.
