What is Lifestyle Medicine?
Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based specialty of medicine that looks at modifying lifestyle factors to prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic disease. It shifts the focus from disease-based care to whole person-centred care, and looks at promoting wellbeing and empowering patients to overcome barriers to achieving their health goals.
Dr Keshinie is passionate about Lifestyle Medicine and feels it is an often overlooked component of health care, but one that can make all the difference in changing your health trajectory.

However, modern pressures of limited time, financial constraints, competing priorities of family and work, and the ever-changing social landscape often interrupt attempts to make and sustain behavioural changes. Health coaching differs from the traditional model of healthcare as it takes you as the expert of your own life. Rather than telling you what changes to make and how, we explore your goals together and I facilitate you developing your own management plan. We harness your strengths to increase the chance of success and build on previous wins to continue making positive and meaningful behavioural changes.
